I'm getting tired of hotmail users signing up and never posting.
Happens about once a week.
So I give them a day or two and then I dump them.
This is tiresome.
Additionally, there may be an issue in phpBB when you use hotmail accounts concerning verification emails not arriving.
So why this warning to my regular members?
Some of you are using hotmail accounts as your addy here. Not many, but they exist.
And I'm planning to ban hotmail accounts from using the site in a week or so. This is your notice to enter a new email addy before your old one gets banned. If you need a substitute addy and don't wish to use your ISP addy then simply go into the Lab board and see the Gmail thread. Plenty of us can hook you up with a gmail account.
I'll send a mass email just before I close the door, but don't wait for the last minute for this, okay?
Get out of the hotmail business completely, people. It's a lousy institution considering what you get from gmail. Don't forget that gmail allows more than one addy per person.

I found that announcements from here were auto forwarded to the spam folder on hotmail - main reason I switched to being notified about events/PMs etc to my gmail account.
I also still have a wealth of invites to gmail if anyone is interested....

Bah! What do you need RL friends for anyway?
You have us instead. And we don't steal the beer out of your fridge when we get together. 
Just tell them they are a bunch of low tech hotmail users and you have an image to maintain.

hotmail has turned into to my catch-all spam trough. If a website wants an email addy, it's hotmail for the most part.
Practically no one has my ISP emails, and most my family and friends contact me through gmail.
seems to work well for me.....

That is probably because they were addressed to Juntajoe and BCCd to all the actual recipients. That is one of the first things that Spam Filters look for: The From and To addresses being the same.

That's what hotmail was for me too. I just used it here cause I don't check hotmail, which probably wasn't a good idea for this site with all the e-mails I need to see to keep in track.
Yeah I got plenty of G-Mail stuff too, only ever sent out 3 invites. As of right now I have 100 invites.
BTW did Shade use Hotmail too? Cause i'm kinda suprised he did cause he has a g-mail account. Anyway...
