I have received my role in my Casteldoom inbox and I received an e-mail in Hotmail that I received a pm! Things can got get any better. Well, maybe the role could have been better. :roll:

idril, I still think that you could do wiht usng something else. remember that Gmai has a much larer inbox( i rarely,if ever, delete mail, and I'm not even using 1% of my e-mail storage space. despite having probably over 500 messages, my total storage space is near 3 GB. now, tell me that's small in comparison to hotmail's free service with a straight face.) and alos, it has a MASSIVEfeature liost. it automatically wscans e-mail for viruses, you rarely get spamin you inbox, and only one message, you can view RSS feeds fromyour inbox, FREE POP accsess, so you can use whatever e-mail client you want, be alreted by a small icon whenever you ahve new messages, wihtout having to install an instant messenger, oh, and it has a chat feature. it automatically saves to the drafts folder as youwrite, you get many more features than hotmail. plus, hotmail addresses are actualy banned at this forum.

well, I used to be, and now,I am addicted to GFmail. why not at least use Gmail for castledoom? and use hotmail for everything else?

Actually, I prefer running a few email addys.

I run my main one from my ISP for everyday stuff. Then I have an addy just for work that goes through my employer's network. Then I run a Gmail account just for family. If I get a Gmail hit in my corner window then I know I need to check it fast. Since only family has the addy, it has remained totally spam free for 18 months now.

All those addys run through different IPs and I get built in redundancy.

I'm not so concerned about Idril using Hotmail as much as I think it's silly to route everything through one ISP and one addy. There's no fallback plan and no categorization.

For years, I simply ran everything through my old Earthlink addy. It became a total nightmare that I cringed when opening my mailbox as I would have to toss 30 pieces of spam just to see if anyone actually sent me a mail. It became so bad that when I dropped Earthlink, I didn't forward or transfer anything. I told Earthlink just to pull the plug and vaporize that addy for good.

So seeing Idril living on one IP, I'm reminded of how I got to that email nightmare I had.

Currently I have 5 e-mail addy's, 3 I only use though. G-Mail for freinds and work is what I use, hotmail for my crap, and my school account for well school. I also have Yahoo and AOL ones I never use.

I must say hotmail has got a large e-mail service now too, larger than they used to have at least.

I use hotmail as my throwaway public address. I don't care how polluted it gets. I use gmail for serious discussion.
