the WWIII series is really good. there is a lot of books to the series and i am in the midst of reading them. the bad thing is is that it is really hard to find all the books.

aiight i will give ya what i can remember. it is based during the cold war era. the us and her allies have a defensive line built up along the edge of the warsaw pact countries who also have a defensive line built up. the russians and her allies launch an attack on that line heading into western europe. china launches an attack against the us naval fleet. it is a series that pits the countries of the warsaw pact against the us and her allies during the cold war. it is a pretty detailed series. as i have said there is bout 10 or so books in the series and the first one gives you some background, as well as starts the initial conflict. it is simply called WWIII. the books afterwards go into detail on the many, many different fronts involved in the war. Ian Slater goes not only into the military aspects but political and has a core group of characters(there are like 15-20 main characters i believe) throughout the entire series that he develops into some pretty amazin detail. he also goes into the lives of the citizens of countries and how the war is affecting them. for example, in the initial attack Ian describes the russians using peasents to run through an anti-personnel minefield to save not only his soldiers but to ensure that american troops would not fire until too late. if i think of more i will post some more. but i moved on bout 2 years ago from this series for lack of ability to find all the books i needed to read.
