The wife and I return a short while ago from HalfPrice Books. They had a huge stack of TropMM on display... for $6.00US.
This was a new store and I had a coupon for 1/3 off any purchase. I used it to buy a back-up copy for $4.00US... actually, I wanted the updated manual.
I don't know whether to laugh of cry :? |

Well, I should have looked there first.
I spent several days last month hunting for the game all over town.
It was at the sixth place and a dozen calls that I found a dusty copy for $20.
Gave it to my sister today for her birthday.
It was worth it.
She calls every few minutes to bug me with questions on dealing with her new peons.
Expect us to have a new addict drop by here with n00b questions come the new year. |

| I got my copy of the Original Tropico in September 2002 for 20 or 30 bucks, I originaly went for Monopoly Tycoon, but Tropico looked better. It was, I still remember my first island. |

Have you got her all patched up?
Tell Sis to holler if she is looking for scenarios.

That copy is the gold edition and doesn't need patching.
I've told her to lay off the scenarios for a while and get used to the game.
I found out she played until 4 AM last night.
She complained that her peons didn't like her anymore.
I looked and found out that she kept playing long after the game ended.
The date was 2080 and she had 650 peons.
I told her that if she could keep them from throwing her into the rowboat for 130 years then she was catching on fast. |
