Having figured out how to max Pirates! out at mid level difficulty, I grew bored of it and needed a new game.
The local Best Buy was out of Civ4 tonight, so I grabbed AoE3 tonight.
Still haven't opened the box yet, but I'll read the manual tonight and check for a patch.
Anyone have any comments before I rip it open? |

Forget the advice.
It already is on version three of the patch and almost zero single player aspect.
I went through this with SH2 and I'm not doing it again.
I'm dragging it back without breaking the seals for store credit. |

| actually, junta, I have it, and it is quite good. don't know about patches, but I find it quite an enjoyable game, and every game has the potential to be different due to home city shipments. as for d3d error, then that is probably an issue with needing to upgrade directx. |

Retried it a few days ago with a new video card, it works now.
There are like 3 infantry units, that's it. Guy with pointy stick, guy who launchs pointy sticks, and guy who flings balls with a pointy stick as a backup.
It is very pretty and shiny. But it is pretty basic. Good call JJ, Civ 4 is better. |

| actually, the infantry unitsa are guy with pointy stick, guy who launches metal balls with a sword as backup, guy who launches small pointy sticks, and it is more indepth than that. |
