I was very disapointed yesterday after getting home from my High School's football game, it's a long story we lost 19-21 because of our kicker...
Anyway, I got home and got onto another forum that I just started going to called plantgarth.com.
There I learned that Garth Brooks had performed at the Katrina relief concert. Garth has been retired since around 2001 and is in retirement until 2015. This is when his youngest daughter will graduate High School. He has turned down amazing oppertunites liked the opening night of the Olimpics, the halftime show at the Superbowl ect, but Katrina brought him out, and he sang an excellent rendition of CCR's Who'll Stop the Rain.
I am only hoping that this will pull him out of retirement a little sooner, he is my favorite musician and I would love to here more new stuff from him. |

Can't fault the man for his choice, though.
He worked hard, made the money, and now is spending it on his family.
He still makes royalties and can sell his free time by writing songs.
Lots of older muscicians have gone this route. |

| Yes, but thank God Garth is suposed to return in 2015. If Friday was any indication he will still have his voice and the abliltiy to put on a great show. |
