A two person band. A two person punk/alternative/blues/rock band no less!
The guy is a guitar wizard and the girl handles the beat.
And they play real good too. I saw this band take over while Max Wienberg's band was doing other things instead of doing the Conan O'Brian show. They were on for a week and never had a bad night.
This is definitely something different and rather good too. It's hard to find new bands with real promise that aren't part of the "music factories" Hunting for a new band then try these two out. Especially if you like guitar. And they have the proper credentials as they are a true Detroit band. Detroit always puts out the best rockers.
And this was the latest press release:
White Stripes expand N. American tour
June 21, 2005 5:25 PM EDT
DETROIT, Jun 21, 2005 (United Press International via COMTEX) -- The White Stripes expanded their North American tour with September dates that start in Milwaukee and wrap Oct. 2 with a hometown show in Detroit.
The rock group's new album, "Get Behind Me Satan," debuted last week at No. 3 on The Billboard 200.
Fellow Detroit band the Greenhornes will open for the White Stripes for most of the tour that begins Aug. 6 in George, Wash.
The Shins, however, will be the opening act for Sept. 24-25 performances in New York and a Sept. 27 show in Columbia, Md., Billboard reported.

| Did they win a Grammy for the "Satan" album? I remember seeing them perform on the awards show, but can't recall if they won anything. :? |

| Dunno. I remember them from the O'Brian show and let the topic slip from my mind until I saw that announcement above. It reminded me to start investigating them. |
