Just in case anyone wanted to ask, I thought I would get it out in the open now :wink:
Actually, for those who have never played this game.... that is the standard response. Unless you are a Wolf or a Mason talking to your own group members, it is not safe to tell anyone else your role.... Therefore you answer: I am a villager. |

Yep, otherwise it'd be pretty obvious who to lynch. Think: Lynch the people who don't vote on who to lynch. And of course, if the wolves can't vote...
Basically, the wolves are normal villagers, except they kill people at night and know who all the other wolves are. |

reminds me of a time when i tricked the Seer by saying i was a villager and he believed me... (i was a Wolf) he told me all the roles he had already found out... kinda funny
trust really IS a weakness in this game :) |

I make a point of clearly stating that I am a wolf at least once per game.
That said, when asked, my "serious" answer is invariably villager.
I've reached a point where, with certain players, we don't even bother asking each other's roles... we just talk, take everything the other says with a grain of salt, and trust however much we feel is appropriate under the situation.
...
By all means, do ask someone's role... last game I played (when I was the Reporter, and Brf was my Source, i.e. human/wolf "lovers"), by the time I died, I already knew everybody's role in the game.
Granted, Brf helped a lot with the wolf side, but asking/talking to people -can- get you plenty of information.
Just be careful not to trust too much. ;) |
