Welcome to the Literature board.
This is the place we.....you guessed it.....discuss books.
I'd like to make a note about title naming in order to help readers find books that they read about here and desire to get. There are certain conventions used to facilitate this.
First, list your title in italics. This ensures that the title is differentiated.
Second, always list the author if you know who it is.
Last, and most handy, is a thing called ISBN. It's a unique number assigned to every last book that publishers and libraries around the world use to identify them. With an ISBN, you need nothing else in order to obtain a book currently in print or to have a rare/used bookseller find an out-of-print title.
So here's how to mention a book in a post:
blah blah blah Fallen Dragon by Peter F. Hamilton (ISBN: 0-446-61263-4) blah blah blah.
Btw, that is an actual title. I found the ISBN on the black cover of the paperback above the bar code. It can also be found on the copyright page as well.
Enjoy. |
