|
|
Now you should all know me well enough by now to know how addicted to The Sims I am, and having just got The Sims 2 a couple of weeks ago, well, what can I say, I just love it.
So... I thought I'd share the pictures of my first TS2 baby. His name is Declan, and his mum is Arabella, I won't bore you with all the details about their little life, but it's got me enthralled
This is Declan as a newborn, with his mum. Isn't he sweet!
And here is is as a toddler. Again, such a cutie.

Meh, each to their own, I don't tell you what to play, you don't tell me what to play and we'll get along ju-ust fine.
And I have a real baby, actually I have three kids, even though two of them aren't babies by any stretch of the imagination :) |

Good news for Sims lovers. There is a new expansion pack planned where teens can become young adults at college before becoming adults.

Do they get to have keggers every night, just like in real-life? |

Bah! Keggers aren't all that!
You make a fool of yourself, while drunk, the cops get called. If you split soon enough, you wake up with a real bad headache, next too somthing real scary.
Or so I've heard |

| Hehehe, I have to get either a new PC or a serious amount of upgrades for this one before I can get TS2: University, my machine now ju-ust squeezes through the minimum spec required. |

I just set up the tech board, Jorenne.
Perhaps you might post your current specs there and we'll see what upgrades you might be able to pull off. |

Yeah but if you have the "nude" patch it really messes up
I patched my game last week, at last I can change my toddlers into all the new clothes I downloaded for them. |

Copied from estioland:
Eddy:

Now we can have college aged Sims.
Tish:
Yeah, and we get to use the same old boring furniture!
DrJosh:
Sounds pretty boring even for the Sims.
The only reason I want the Sims is to use it for plotting and torture.
Now you can make your Sims go to school, w00t! The most tedios, mind rotting thing on the planet just became a game! |

http://thesims2.ea.com/community/chat_12_09_04.php is a chat transcript that answers some questions about the upcoming expansion for the Sims 2. Some highlights:
Young adults will be able to "woohoo" and get engaged, but not marry. Best of all, they can't get pregnant!
There will be college neighborhoods where your sim can live along with others in either a dorm or apartment or frat houses.
New trendier outfits will be available for the young hotties.
They can work and go to school. (and party of course)
Sims can drop out or be kicked out for bad grades.
New objects are available for the regular neighborhood including electric guitars!
Sims can now have cell phones.
They'll have Ramen, staple of college students everywhere.
Most importantly, there will be cheerleaders. |

I couldn't believe how much better TS2 is, compared to the original. As a sequel, it is one of the best I've ever played. And sad as it may seem, having cyber babies has been very soothing.
I lost interest when I couldn't expand my creativity with new walls/floors and items. Jorenne, if you've retextured a fridge than that must mean they released the programs needed. I guess I'll have to hit some fave fansites.

| There is a program for housing styles and another one for furniture on the main Sims2 site. |
