Anyone heard of the Entropia Universe yet?

It is a virtual universe MMORPG. While technically free to pay, it has an economy that converts back and forth between real cash and in-game credits. The Swedish government even issued it a banking license.
While it is supposedly free, the actuality is that is runs 50 cents to a dollar an hour to play for basic life incidentals. The goal is naturally to get to the point where you have a sustainable income and actually earn in-game credits. It's is feasible to get to the point where the income is enough that you could draw off your earnings as a supplemental real life income!
A virtual real job! :shock:
So, has anyone played it or heard more about it? |
