Well hey, I've posted messages on my two forums, inviting people to come to Castle Doom and try the Werewolf Game! What am I? Chopped liver?

* Oh, you mean they actually have to respond, and start visiting? That explains it. *

Did you tell Brf adn JJ that you had advertised about here on other forums?

No, the ribbon is the Outside Merit Ribbon.

It's for recognizing extensive work online elsewhere. Like being a staffer at another forum for several years or running a website that draws a lot of traffic or being a website creator of high skill.

The requirements are subjective, but set fairly high.

My work at LS wouldn't qualify. Brf's work here would, but it's for work outside the forum.

Nibby received it for being a staffer for years at another busy forum.

We haven't really begun awarding it yet, but gave Nibby her's to generate interest and questions.

If someone wishes to apply for the ribbon then post some links and the staff will review your work.

www.gordonkorman.com

A fan site about a Canadian/American children's author that grew to be so comprehensive that the author asked me to transfer it from where it was to www.gordonkorman.com, and make it the official site.

Then he dedicated one of his books to me as his "Web Guru." How many people do you actually know that have real published books dedicated to them?

Well, Seth is starting to advertise castledoom on another forum. It isn't really much. We pretty much keep our things small and low-key or else unwanted folks whom we are running away from will start snooping at our other hiding place.

I know he isn't a regular here, but his links may get a couple of friends interested. I'm afraid they are still stuck with Tropico, the game that brought us all together.

I'll have the staff look the site over and shoot you a few questions on how much is your actual work, Batch.

But at first glance, I'll say it's a quality site.

I am the only person who did anything on it. (Well, all right ... Gordon wrote letters which I posted for him on the letters page ... but as far as web work goes, I was the only one.)

It is entirely my project. Nobody else has ever even had access.

The only thing that anybody did other than me was that Sarah was made a forum administrator when I was moving around and out of touch for weeks at a time, so she would feel she had the authority to clean up messages on the discussion forum, when I wasn't around.
