*sigh*
I should have clarified. When I said cooking, I meant REAL LIFE FOOD. I play with people I know personally, with a few friends of friends being in the guild. My guild leader is the most amazing cook I have ever met. If I knew I could get away with it, I would literally kill for her cooking (I only say if I could get away with it because prison time would mean less of her food in the long run. Yes, I am addicted. That does NOT mean I cannot think in the long-term!)
So join Alliance on Daggerspine, and join the Pwny Express. So I can get food.
Also, I don't care for any of the secondary skills beyond first aid. I'm a mage, so I can make my own food, so carrying around any extra is a waste of bag space. Thus, fishing is also a waste of my time (plus I know a guy who does NOTHING but fish. Our guild bank is CROWDED with the stuff that he leaves for us).

Oh, batch, zybez.net is the best fansite I know of. They have better item and monster databases than runehq, update things faster, and I like their forum now, but runehq does have some very nice guides as well. tip.it/runescape is usually a pretty good (and very old) but historically slow to load site that is also sometimes useful.
And, while it has virtually nothing else, I really like Runescpe Bits & Bytes' calculators |

And if you're stuck on a quest, I like the quest guides from www.runescape.salmoneus.net.

Well, I keep plugging away at this ... I've now reached a point where I have about the same number of levels as Broomdalf, though we each have concentrated in some different areas. [edit] I was wrong ... I'm stilla couple of hundred levels behind him. [/edit]
A friend who joined about a year after me has surpassed both of us by a fair amount. Still having fun, though, which is the most important criteria.
(Wonder if Skeebs is still doing UOL?) |
