I've made the worst decision ever. I upgraded my PC with a new videocard, walked around in a shop and saw Oblivion for a budget price. After hearing lots of people (castledoom included) talking about it, I thought "why not? " and bought it.

Worst mistake ever. Best game I've played in -years- and timeconsuming as hell. Timeconsuming isnt the right word, everything outside of Oblivion is timeconsuming :|

As I'm mopping up the final guild quests (completed Thieves/Mages, Fighters almost, as well as Dark Brotherhood, oh and I might think of starting with the Main Quest soon :P) I wondered what this plugins, Knights of the Nine and newest addon are about.
And if the Tileset has produced any cool mods you people recommend.

Want to hear something funny?

I bought the collectors version on pre-order a year ago and still haven't opened the plastic!

Why?

Because the prior Morrowind was such a time suck.

Maybe I'll find a way to get laid off or "injured" at work so I can take a month or two off and play it. ;)

I will say that the key to the enjoyment of the other game was the mods, mostly the unofficial ones.

You should definitely be spending a lot of time at this site to learn about which mods are good and how to use them:

if you buy the Knights of the Nine package it comes with all the add on's, and a new faction that is sort of an alternate to the Dark Brotherhood.

The add on's, don't remember all the names are simple enough, a really nice home with all the works for a mage, a theif, and an evil person. Some armor for your horses that make them harder to kill, and a quest for special dagger that has a chance to kill in one hit. Over all a fun addition if you want to find yourself spending another day or two to finish them all.

Was curious if anyone here has tried the Oblivion expansion pack? I can assume JJ hasn't seeing as he is the few of us that think responsabily when playing this soul sucking of a game.

Was just curious how good it was.

Heard mixed things about it.

KotN: Decent, but no dark brotherhood scale like side-quest
Shivering Isles: Cool, bit weird, helluvalot of gameplay.

Knights of the Nine isn't an expansion pack, it's just an add on. A big one, but an add on none the less.

You sound like me, I don't have time to play all of the games I buy, especially any Elder Scrolls game. I try though as best I can.

I did finish Oblivion, but I wanted to do it again then jump into Shivering Isles. I am not doing to many side quests, just the guilds and of course the main quest.

Unless I find a quest I have never done, which there have been a few seeing as how big the game is, I ignore ones I have beaten before, unless I know they have some really good items.
