Ever heard of them?
By day they are physicists teaching at state universities or helping global construction companies slap up dams and turbines in 3rd world countries.
But once a year, 40 of the best meet in a secret location to ponder the Pentagon's deepest problems. They have flag grade ratings (general-admiral) and the highest secret clearances that exist. The kind of clearance that lets them really know what happened in Area 51 or who shot JFK.
Something new? If you call World War Two recent history then they are new.
Fascinating?
