Because they look trashy, that's why.
I've always hated big old sloppy sigs all cluttered up with paragraphs and virtual art galleries.
The ribbons always appealed because they actually reduced sig noise that was generated by some event or award that ended up getting blasted in 12 point type proclamation by the owner.
Toss in a few character quotes and the sig is done without filling up half the blessed page.
Perfect example is Sir Gawain's big old picture sig. Can't stand it, but haven't got around to dealing with it yet.
I like to see sigs no bigger than mine and I consider mine borderline.
I want to read posts, not the same sigs over and over as I scroll down the page. |

Yours is larger than mine, actually.
But this is not an issue I feel negotiable about. I've done this before and I'l do it again. It is why I had several big sig pictures removed during our few months of operation. It was the part of the reason we no longer have full size membership ribbons anymore.
We come here to read, write, and be mentally stimulated. Seeing the same fat sig areas over and over again when I'm trying to read something new just doesn't get it for me.
My advice is to worry about your writing instead. |

I would like to suggest being able to buy some kind of 'manufacture item' item. You could then specify a name, a pic, and then (following mod approval) manufacture one item per 'manufacture item' item and (following mod approval?) make it available in your store. Perhaps several prices of manufacture items could be made available, with those limiting the price you can charge for the item manufactured....
This would allow GM's to create custom storyline-related items from the TWG entry fees for winners.... I think it could be really neat. |

YES! Also, making it only SLIGHTLY larger than the ribbons or something could keep down on the size. Say, a limit around the size of an AIM Buddy icon?

Tribeca, wasn't refering to sig items, CB.
He was refering to things you buy for use in TWG.
I have no issue with that concept, provisionally.
I wouldn't want to see anything supremely powerful enter the game.
But some "second chance" items might be interesting. Something like a cloak that would let a Vigilante attack in secret or get a second attack in the open. Or perhaps a very expensive one-night Seer power for any non-Seer player. That kind of stuff as long as they are expensive enough that they remain novelties and not commonplace.
But the sig clutter has to go. If you want an intersting sig then toss up a profound or funny witicism. Or you can do something to earn a ribbon. |

| I wasn't thinking that any of the stuff would actually do anything in game...I was thinking about items like the wolvesbane and silver daggers, except that users would be able to create their own by uploading a picture themselves. |

| there's a bug with scratchcards. I tried to buy 100 of them form brf unlimited, and it refused telling meI didn't have enough money or bad item amount.I had enough money to buy out the whole store of scratchcards if I wanted to, and it had 500 cards. I tried with 50 as well, but it also didn't work. |
