Yup, unless they get the permission from all concerned in the movie, it's copyright infringement. This is more than just bleeping the cuss words.

This sort of thing is just SICK. Not only is it copyright infringement, it is a desecration of an art form. Artists have a RIGHT to express themselves in their medium in the way that they choose. Making someone's creation PC is like taking a chisel to Michelangelo's David just to remove his manly bits. Sure it makes certain people feel better, but at the expense of something irreplaceable that is thus damaged forever.

Wouldn't it be easier to go and NOT WATCH things with objectionable content like the rest of society?

I fully agree.

If you want a neutered version then go ask the owner of the movie to license you as a remanufacturer and pay up the royalties.

The owner makes the rules.

I hope this company gets sued into bankruptcy.

A lot of times, when you post media on the internet, like pictures on myspace, you give them permission to use it as the please.

See this is what I was trying to tell my freind, as long as the movie people give them full permision there is no problem. His theory that it is a great resource for parents that wanna see R rated movies but have kids. While I can see it being a good resource for that, it still doesn't stop it from being wrong.

There are prodedures in place for us to be able to do stuff like that, and if a company wants to do it they should go to the source. I mean if I know a guy is gonna go on a mass killing spree I don't pop the guy in the head, I tell the police. Same thing here, if a company wants to try and give parents clean versions of movies they should ask the people who own the rights to there movies pernsision.

Alas this argument can from a Christian bassed website where 78% of them said it didn't break copyrights. Being a Chrsitian I am astounded that so many would blanetly be fore breaking of the law.

Now, if the adults want to see a movie that is inappropriate for kids, there are these wonderful people called BABYSITTERS. It'd probably do the marriage good if the parents had a date without the kids, too. Or, get it on DVD and send the kids to bed.

Morons. If you don't want your children to see these movies, then...don't let them! Why should I be involved with your morality.

True dat, yo. Parents should have the choice on what they do or do not want their kids to see (until a certain point. My rule of thumb: if the kid is smart enough to get around the safeguards, they are mature enough to see what they find) but on the other hand they should TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR DOING SO. Which means teaching their kids right from wrong, or not letting them see the objectionable material. NOT forcing society to make a rose-colored world for their brats.
